It is a pleasure to read you Charlie!
So happy to see someone with similar passion about this singular little car - your updates are making this forum alive again :)
We all want to know and see more of Papucel :)

The limp mode is quite often due to one cell just collapsing under the load - just one is enough
once it is detected by the BMS, the car is in limp mode and max speed is 25-30 km/h until fuse 1 and 2 are reset. This to protect the weak cell.

    Good luck!

good luck with the red one...
the previous owner of my car installed an on/off button that has the same effect as turning off the fuse.. maybe that would solve your consumption problem,

FYI The BMS will not like to be without energy for long. It will impact the EPROM and if depleted completely, the dashboard will stop to work and you have no more indication of any battery level. That is the reason I had to send the BMS kit back to Imola after leaving the car off for a long period of time. So a on/off button yes, for specific cases, for 24-48hrs max to be on the safe side ;)

    Hi Charlie :)

With no doubt Papucel Jr. will be well taken care of :)
I will definitely stick around and see how it goes - follow the journey of this incredible little devil :)
For the high drain, maybe did you check what led remains "on" on the new dc/dc converter, when you lock the car with the Fob?
located under the passenger seat ;)

    good luck! :)

Shipping used to be very very expensive and for professional retailers and garages solely... it used to be 150,00 euros without Taxes for international shipment, regardless of the volume or size of parts you ordered or the distance.

    Let's say, they improved ;)

That is the yellow set with 50% discount :) welcome in the Tazzari's world.
  8. .
Again, Suspension is NOT a recall. The triangle is.
Try to ask for a Yellow suspension set. If it is the first order of a yellow set for this VIN, you may have a 50% discount.

That is the black / grey suspension
Did you ask Tazzari Service for a yellow set?

    Hello Tomas,

Tazzari will no call you, but they show the on-going recalls on the service area of the Tazzari Zero website
you enter your VIN code and the site will tell you what are the recalls for your car (if any)

For the Yellow suspension, that is an offer from Tazzari for every single Zero sold with the black suspension.
If you didn't request for 1 yellow set yet, maybe try to contact them (1 set per car only)

    good luck!

    Hello everyone,

This is going to the last update for this thread :)

The "very first Zero in Czech Republic" has left for another country sometime back already and is now in the hands of someone else - where she will get all the TLC she deserves :]

I would like to thank everyone here for following this thread thoroughly since the beginning. Even now, the organic grows of readers on weekly basis is just amazing! This means I have done my job well documenting all the steps of the renovation I went through for this lovely little red devil

Keep the passion, keep it real :) ... the Zero is one of a kind :)

zeAndrea I think it is wise :b:
I don't think you can overflow with too much oil as there is no pressure system in it, no pump.
I noticed as well that the Gimec transmission consumes a bit of oil.

If I am not mistaken, on the first versions of the Zero, charging with the Key on was used to try to "reset" the EPROM when the calibration of the voltmeter was needed but this never worked for my Zero Classic.
You eventually need to send the BMS boxes to Tazzari to replace or the fix the EPROM, empty the logger, perform a software upgrade and refurbish the fans. That is what I did - I think this is the best and more cost efficient option: it is not too expensive.

    good luck!

    Thx for the pictures!
Incredible! that is one unique Zero classic you have here! :) :woot:

The VIN seems ligit: seems you actually have the model 00004, so very early time from the production line - when the Zero were basically assembled and painted by hand in same fashion as a pre-production serie, in 2009!

The interior is EVO 100%, so if the VIN is correct, definitely it was assembled in 2009 but somehow was upgraded not only with the dashboard but basically everything before receiving it first registration in... 2012 ? :)

You can try to ask Tazzari about the history of your Vin code / car. They will know if they sold eventually parts or even some "homemade" customizations on this Zero.

    Very interesting car :b:

What are the last 5 digit of the VIN code?

the first generation of Zero classic had the 7 boxes BMS set and the "light bulb" blinker lights.
The generation after went down to 5 boxes. So this is the most important factor to confirm the age of the car, because it has deep dependencies with the car electronics (no backward compatibility with the 7 boxes setup).
It could have been upgraded to Evo dashboard, that would be a "big win" for you :b:

It looks "sleek" in black matt :) and I really like the seats :) you have more pictures of the inside?
