E piu difficile montare il pacco di 7 celle con le celle ad alta carica. E meglio scaricarle al di sotto del 20% di SOC prima di smontare il pacco per ridurre lo spessore delle celle.

I've been freshening up the paint a bit. To be truthful it needs a new paint job but until then some polishing compound and some elbow grease (yes, applied by hand) gave decent results, at least from a couple of meters away ...

A small update: "the first Tazzari imported in CZ" keeps on living as a daily driver in Bucharest, RO (for 2 years now). Almost failed the tech inspection due to a "wet" brake that we fixed very quickly with a new set of seals, new pads and a new coat of paint:

An update on my NEEY balancer clone (4A version): worked great for a couple of month with just 14 cells connected but now it decided to read higher voltage than real on 2 of the cells . I've contacted the seller and he suggested re-sitting the fuses but these are soldered and measure and look well.

In any case, just to let you know that in case of malfunction there is little hope of warranty or anything like that. Initially the ALARM page was showing all normal while the cells 10 and 11 measured only 2-3 tenth of a volt higher but after the disconnect/reconnect now it shows "OverLine" and the error is even greater (+0.9V)

Couldn't get to Relay 8 yet. Do I have to have the dashboard completely off? How do I do that (is there a documented procedure/steps)?

Funny thing is that on this car the signal lights do not produce any clicking sound EXCEPT when triggered by the central lock. I believe it has something to do with the fact that the central locking module has been changed but don't know exactly what is the issue.

It's a big mystery, the car will refuse to signal sometimes then suddenly the signal lights start working but silently (you can tell they are working by the green arrows in the dash)

.... Most common is start issue ...

As for the start issue I probably have that too on a different Classic (yes I maintain 2 of them, almost identical form outside). Sometimes it doesn't send the signal to open the main contactor and it needs 2-3...5 on/off cycles from the ignition to do it. On this car I also have some issued with the motor position sensor and i thought the start issue may be related to it but now that you mention a "common start issue" it could also be the "scheda interfaccia" to blame :)

... TACO inverter dont shut down .

that's the one. Drove me crazy! Sent it to Imola and they returned it after a lot of time, very clean but same behaviour as before.
if i disconnect it from the DC/DC converter and connect it back on most of the times the converter stays off and i can actually see the 80v signal discharging with a small spark :) So for now i have a switch:

I don't want to hijack this thread, just to contribute: Tazarri offers a repair service indeed and maybe some may have better luck but in my case they kept it for month and sent it back with the same problem as before. So now I'm also looking for a replacement card for an early Classic

Il fusibile 8 e a posto, tute le frecce funzionano con la chiusura centralizzata. Ma dal hazard switch o dalla leva non funziona nessuna ...

Cerco un consiglio su cos'altro controllare. Dove si trova il relè RL8 ?

Great work on the software! Is it proprietary or will you be willing to share the code?

How about details on your findings regarding various PWM control signals? It would be of great help for users like myself with less skills to reverse engineer on their own but enough skill to follow your lead :)

Service Zero told me, very fast answer, that I need to take out a set of 7 cells to reach the handbrake cable. I guess that's a good oportunity to install the balancer wires :)

Now for the second question: is there a cable from Fiat or Renault that would fit?

    Hi guys,

Can any of you please tell me how am I supposed to reach to the brake handle attachment point to replace the handbrake cable? Do I need to remove the middle console or the back panel?

And secondary question: Is there a production car cable that would fit?

    Thank you!

As Bi_Gia wrote, the original BMS is most probably correcting in software (or ignoring voltage reads during discharge over a certain limit) since it has access to current value

There is this special case of the two links between +Z8 to +Z7 (less evident, shorter link) and +Z15 to +Z14 (longer link and higher measurement error under hard acceleration). These links are placed in series with the balancer wire and would have negligible effect at normal measuring current (micro-amps) but significant effect during heavy discharge.
I'll get in contact with the manufacturer to ask if it is possible to get access to the ADC input of channels 15 and 7 separately from the balancer wire. That would allow us to eliminate measurement error introduced by the heavy use of the pack

Ce qui est important, c’est de conserver la même longueur de fil depuis l’équilibrent jusqu’aux cellules pour avoir la même résistance.

While I agree that is the "correct" way to do it I don't find it necessary and I can explain: I use 0.75 mm square coper wire that has an approximate resistance of about 22mOhm/m. One meter of difference in length at 2A of balancing current drops 44mV each way, that is 0.088V and looks significant enough but the voltage measurement is NOT done at 2A but instead in the microamp range (in between pulses of balancing current for the cells that are actively balanced, effectively simulating a kelvin connection). The difference is so small that it doesn't really make sense to coil wires around just to keep the same length. That's just my personal choice and your advice is the correct one!
